Portable Gun for Ultrasonic Plastic Welding
Viking PoliWeld Maintenance, repair and manufacturing of thermoplastics
Welds PP, PC+ABS, PA, PE and PVC with no glue and no disassembly. Ideal for welding, repairing and maintaining automotive parts, tanks, tarps and inflatables — 100% Brazilian manufacturing.

What is the Viking PoliWeld
Portable ultrasonic machine for plastic welding
The Viking PoliWeld is a portable ultrasonic machine designed to weld thermoplastics with precision — joining, fusing and rebuilding parts with no glue, no solvent and no external heat.
High-frequency ultrasonic vibration generates localized heat through molecular friction, melting the thermoplastic at the contact points. With light manual pressure, the parts bond in seconds, creating a permanent molecular weld that is homogeneous and clean-finished.
Because it welds with such precision, the Viking PoliWeld has also become the ideal tool for maintenance and repair of existing plastic parts — widely used by auto repair shops to rebuild cracked or broken automotive components.
How it works
- 1
The generator converts electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical vibration (ultrasound)
- 2
The gun transmits this vibration to the sonotrode in contact with the thermoplastic
- 3
Molecular friction heats and melts the material at the contact points in seconds
- 4
Light manual pressure joins the parts. Once cooled, the weld is firm and permanent
- 5
Clean finish, no burrs or residue — the part is ready for immediate use
Compatibility

Compatibility may vary depending on the thickness, formulation and condition of the material. If you have questions about a specific material, contact our technical team.
Interchangeable tips
4 sonotrode options for every type of weld
The Viking PoliWeld comes with 4 tip (sonotrode) options, each designed for a specific finish and application — simply swap the tip according to the result you need.

Round knurled
Greater adhesion and pressure distribution — indicated for wider weld areas.

Round
Precision spot welding, ideal for details and hard-to-reach areas.

Rectangular knurled
Greater mechanical grip between parts, indicated for joints that require more strength.

Rectangular
Smooth, even finish, ideal for linear welds and flat surfaces.

The generator
Full control over the welding process
The Viking PoliWeld gun is connected to the generator, where you adjust the frequency, the cooling time and the welding time — fine-tuning the process according to the material and the result you want.
The panel also includes test buttons and a tuning indicator, ensuring the equipment works perfectly on every application.
It’s a brand-new piece of equipment, built on more than 40 years of Viking do Brasil‘s tradition in ultrasonic generators.
- Frequency:
- Fine-tuned according to the thermoplastic.
- Cooling time:
- Controls the cycle between one weld and the next.
- Welding time:
- Sets the duration of the ultrasound application.
- Test buttons and tuning indicator:
- To check the equipment before each use.
Applications
Where the Viking PoliWeld is used
From manufacturing to maintenance: the Viking PoliWeld welds, repairs and rebuilds plastic parts across different sectors.
Auto Repair Shops
Weld and repair plastic vehicle parts without replacement, reducing cost for the customer and increasing the shop’s margin.

- Door trim and interior finishes
- Parts in PA (Polyamide/Nylon)
Liquid Tanks
Weld tanks with cracks or holes without having to replace the reservoir — for water or compatible chemical products.
- PE (Polyethylene) residential tanks
- Industrial plastic reservoirs
- Compatible chemical product tanks
- Watertight weld, in the field, no need to remove the tank
Tarps and Inflatables
Weld tarps and flexible PVC structures with no glue and no deformation, restoring strength and water-tightness.
- Laminated PVC and polyester-reinforced PVC
- Inflatable toys and pools
- Tents, covers and industrial tarps
- Professional and recreational inflatables

We've gathered the most common questions about the technology, compatible materials and applications of our portable ultrasonic machine.
The Viking PoliWeld is a portable ultrasonic machine manufactured by Viking do Brasil for welding thermoplastics. It uses high-frequency ultrasonic vibration to fuse the material at the contact points, creating a permanent molecular weld with no glue, solvent or external heat. Besides welding new parts, it's also widely used for maintenance and repair of existing plastic parts.
The Viking PoliWeld welds the main industrial thermoplastics: PP (Polypropylene), PC+ABS, PA (Polyamide/Nylon), PE (Polyethylene), laminated PVC and PVC tarp reinforced with polyester.
Yes. Since the machine welds thermoplastics with high precision, it's widely used by auto repair shops to fix bumpers (PP), headlights and taillights (PC), fenders and panels (PC+ABS) without having to replace the entire part.
Yes. The Viking PoliWeld welds laminated PVC and PVC tarp reinforced with polyester fabric, materials used in inflatable toys, pools, tents and industrial tarps. The weld is watertight and restores the material's original strength.
Regular guns use heat from electrical resistance, which can deform the part, generate smoke and require metal staples. Viking PoliWeld's ultrasonic welding generates heat through localized molecular friction, with no odor, no deformation of the surrounding area and no consumable use. The result is a more homogeneous and resistant molecular weld.
The Viking PoliWeld's main function is welding thermoplastics, which includes both the manufacturing and joining of new parts as well as the repair and maintenance of existing plastic parts, as happens in automotive, tank and tarp applications.
